I'm coming close to finishing a stocking for my son. The patterns calls for the stitching to be cut out and sewn into the stocking shape. I cannnot sew so any ideas on where to take my handiwork for finishing? It's taken so long I don't want to just trust anybody. Wink

I bet if you can stitch... you can sew. Rather than asking a friend or a pro, I recommend teaching yourself some basic sewing on scrap fabric. A stocking is small enough you could easily sew it all by hand.

On the other hand, if you really want someone qualified to do it for you - try a bridal shop. Their seamstresses are the best in the business, they alter silk, satin, and lace for a living - for the toughest customers in the world - BRIDES!

The only drawback there is that it will cost you. I don't know what they would charge...
