I wonder why it is so hard to find. None of the regular craft type stores carry it, all they have is 11, 14 and 18. I love working on it, but had to travel quite a ways (or order online) to find it.

I don't know, either, but my local shop does carry it. They sell by the yard (square inch, actually), not precuts. They also sell online.

I used to find 16ct alot, too, when I first started doing cross stitch; now, all I ever see is 14 and some 18 in the prepackaged pieces and on the bolts, before Hobby Lobby got rid of the bolts. Now I have nowhere to get anything from the bolt locally. My LNS doesn't carry any of the cheapies, and nothing on a bolt, and HL pretty much made me dependent on that $15.99/yd 28ct evenweave - I've used a group of it the past couple of years, especially for over-1. You can't get a yard of Lugana or any of the other 28cts for that cheap Sad

I wonder why 16ct is scarce? Maybe as the availabilty of all of the non-linen 32cts became more wide-spread, thus making them easier to afford than the linen ones? 32 seems to be the most popular from my experience, so you'd think 16ct would be, as well. HMMMMM....
