Okay Meredith, I am ready to make my door/window suggestions. Can you create a pattern from a photograph? I would like something by Dennis Barloga. I found some on his website: Garden Passage, Yellow Mailbox, Horseshoe Door and Loch Lomond Cottage. Also saw two on Art.com that are posters: Donnington House and Hydrangea Courtyard. Thanks! (Can't wait to know if this is even possible.)

Yes, we can work from photographs - in fact a few a couple of charts that we have now are from photographs (King Tut's Mask and Nefertiti, for two). The real question is whether Dennis Barloga would consider licensing his work for cross stitch. I've sent him an email. We'lll see if I get any answer. (And I have entered all your suggestions into the database.)

He is willing to license his photos for cross stitch BUT he wants what for us would be several years' royalties paid up front. I do like the pictures and the door idea is appealing but we will have to have much higher volume before we can go ahead with Dennis. Sorry.

Oh shoot. Well, I certainly do understand when it comes to money (or rather the lack of it). Too bad. Thank so much for trying. Maybe we can find some other door/window images out there.
