I like the decorated box very much!
I want to mention something that was just brought to my attention: although it's fine to carry scissors and needles on US domestic flights, they MAY not be allowed on international flights or flights originating in some countries. You should definitely check with your airline or the local security agency before starting to the airport with your grannie's heirloom scissors. Anyway you're better off traveling with a second (or nth) best pair in case you lose them, they get confiscated (even if that's not supposed to happen), etc.

I checked a British Airways list and it doesn't mention scissors or things like that at all, as allowed OR forbidden. (And yes, scissors WERE banned for a while in the US, but the ban has been lifted here. I'm just not sure about other locations.)
