Where in Atlanta are you?I'm not too far from you here in NC....

Stitching Bits & Bobs is one of my favorite online needlework sources, as she has great sales very frequently and carries a huge amount of stuff (silk threads, especially). The downside is, she has great sales frequently, so if you need something as soon as possible, she likely will not have it in stock, so it could be weeks before your order arrives. You can peruse her goods here:
https://www.stitchingbitsandbobs.com/

Another of my favorites is Wyndham Needleworks - they carry a lot more of the sampler items, and sometimes have great clearance sales, here:

I have a rather extensive list - if anybody ever needs a source for anything, let me know Smile

On my lust list, before I got too busy, I put under each picture the design owner and link - I only got about half-way through it, though 99% of them can be found on SB&B in the charts section. I was trying to be methodical and go through her list alphabetically - only got up to L or M before I had to stop. I need to get in there and finish up the links, but since the Nashville Market last weekend, I've been too busy adding new stuff. And one of my pals in Oz has almost 600 things in hers - we use hers as the general group reference list Laughing

I am north of Atlanta - we are actually a suburb of, but it isn't officially part of the metro area. Find Lake Lanier on a map, and I'm within a few miles east of that. My cousin just moved to Cary, NC, year before last - got tired, finally, of living in California, and relocated the entire family! If soccer season wasn't 11 months a year for us, I'd be up to see them more....

Thanks to Rife's lustiness, I've discovered some really cool things. I'm really glad you posted your full list, because I've got an absolute thing for dragonflies too and have been searching for AGES to find a good chart showing off their irridescent wings to the full. Know of any others? And seeing as you're the know-all of all knowledge, the other things I've been chasing for ages are a camel caravan (but not just any one, I'm talking big and highly detailed) and a design I once saw on the cover of a cross stitch magazine and have never been able to find since: it was a peacock's plumage with the bird's head in the centre made into a round footstool. GORGEOUS. Now, Rife- go fetch! Very Happy

No worrys here Alanna...... Laughing I am having the time of my life....The only problem is there is not enough hours in the day to do all I want to do....I am still working on winding this floss I have about 300 of them on bobbins...and I just finished making a crude floor frame big enough to hold almost any size project I am going to do....then I can get back to stitching....I was going crazy because I was not as organized as I wanted to be and I am sooooo anal..... Embarassed it has to be a certain way ....My only problem is that I can't figure out what I want to do here.I have several that I got from HEAD and there are a couple I want from Mysticstitch and tons I want from here...Here is where the problem lies...tooooo many I want here. The other places weren't too bad not many in my taste, but enough to confuse a soul...well if I had an endless supply of money NO PROBLEM...therefore I have a Huge problem......LOL.....

I know what you mean, my wish list is so long I'll never have enough years to do them all. Oh well, choose wisely and enjoy every one, that's what I say.

Happy stitching Stitching

I hear ya...while I'm here do you have any suggestions on how to get more tension on the scroll frame...I tighten it as much as I can I think and was going to whip stitch the sides to get the tension tight there...it's a wide piece and I'm losing the tension in the middle of the piece....? maybe there's a forum that talks about it but I didn't find it.....any suggestions from anyone?

Are you using split scroll rods? I have heard that they can lose tension. Have you tried adding some extra material to that section to make it thicker? Haven't had any personal experience but I'd try that. Good luck!

No, I'm not using the split rods...I 'm using the velcro kind.

That lack of tension is exactly why I switched to needle point stretcher bars. It drove me nuts. I have tried adding fabric to the middle, where it sags, and that does help a bit. Mine were before the addition of velcro, but I don't think the split kind, the velcro, or the old fashioned ones you had to sew the fabric to are the problem. It's the way the fabric only gets pulled from the top and bottom. I even tried lacing on the sides (so it looked like a very sad, old fashioned bed), and again, that only sort of helped. I have just stuck with the bars and occaisionaly Q-snaps. (Wish I had better news, hopefully someone else came up with a great solution. Around here, someone usually does!)
