Beautiful work, Ed. I'm very impressed. Particularly with the one you did yourself. Did you design the pattern yourself or just copied off the quilt as you stitched? Either way, that takes talent! It's a very good thing that your work wasn't lost in the fire and just hope your daughter managed to salvage the things that were important to her.
Good luck with Starry Night, which one are you doing? (there are two SQ patterns called Starry Night by Van Gogh). Photos please of your progress!

Thanks, Alanna. Adopting quilt patterns to cross stitch is not difficult, since quilts are put together in blocks. In this case I used a picture of a geometric pattern, but developed the colors myself (with advice from my wife).

I am doing the Starry Night that is the Rhone River at Arles. I'll post a wip some day soon.
