THE CHOCOLATE POT REVISITED     Reply with quote

Another month, another 88 grid squares. Now that makes 176 squares x 100 = 17,600 stitches. If you figure perhaps a stitich per minute on average, that is too scarey to calculate how many days have been spent on it. The background is not too boring as there are enough changes with the blends to keep my interest. I have shown you how I keep my blends. I thread the unused thread through the number using a copy of the color key. When needed, it just gently pulls out. This way I don't need a lot of needles or the special holders. Sometimes there are 40 threads hanging down. Threading a needle is not an issue for me. I am working on 16 ct. aida cloth. My local small craft shop ordered a bolt and I bought half, so I have plenty for many large, and small projects. I like the 16 ct and use it unless I have a piece that shows the cloth, then I use a linen. I check the craft section in the local thrift shop. Sometimes good pieces of linen can be find there..yes, I have a Scottish heritage for prices and keeping quality. Very Happy

HI Alann, Even if I keep up this pace, it won't be done by the middle of OCt. when we head back down to Florida. It stays here, but in FL. I will work on my Birds and Snowy Berry Branches, among other things.

So do I, but I'm Polish, not Scottish.
Nice progress on the Pot.
