Sounds like a great opportunity to pass on the craft!!! I don't know about you, but I could never give one of these monsters away after putting that much time into it.... Except to another stitcher who would know & appreciate that time.[/quote]

I agree with Rifestitch. I would like to think that I could give one of these away, but I know I couldn't! They are just soooo much work (but worth every stitch)! I would have to know for sure it would be really, really appreciated.

I also love Ehret, especially the colors. I think the real problem with the SQ's is that they take so long to complete, you have way too much time to acquire new charts and plan for the next one! Wink

Beautiful work! And fast--
And I don't think I could ever give one away (if I ever finish my first one!), unless I really, really loved the person a whole lot, and they appreciated the labor of love.
Happy stitching! Stitching

I agree, Lani, so many lovely ones just begging to be done do come along. My dilema is all Rife's fault. She has shown me so many lovely ones I just needed. It is great to have someone to blame. Rolling Eyes

I just think of it as showing someone else how the traditional skills can be modern too, and let the work speak for itself. However, the person for whom I shall be doing the work is a good friend and I'm happy Very Happy to help her give a present which will be appreciated...(it'll be a wedding present). Maybe it will spark an interest in the giver and the recipient, and new stitching fanatics will be created Twisted Evil

Pam...managed to get her choices(now increased to 3!!), and she's gone for the Rosa Canaberis(?)..and the Christmas Rose. The Rosa(Canaberis) is doubled..one for the wedding present and one for herself, and the last for herself too...Gill Stitching

Yes...I'm inclined to think that I shall be well and truly crackers by the time I've finished them. She is going to order them tonight, so I reckon I've got a week or so's grace before it all begins! Shocked , I'm awaiting my own 2 designs to arrive (The Castle, and The Hunt), which I shan't start until I've done Margaret's(my friend...for now Twisted Evil )
