Thanks, Gill--I would appreciate it. I love doing it by hand, but I need something now that is better for my posture (I slouch anyway, so after an hour or two curled up over my project, I'm a bit crooked-looking) Confused
Good luck with your classes. Mine are much harder than I thought they would be!

Wink No problem, Kathleen...good grief! it's 07.30 Monday morning here in Cork city, and I'm all fired up and ready to go, but the old fella drives me in to college in the mornings(I get the bus back in the afternoons), and he's still in his dressing gown, scratching (as blokes do!). To save my blood pressure, I've set up the laptop...on the pretence of looking to see if I have any emails...until he's ready to take me in. I don't mind getting the bus in, but he always says he'll take me, so why fight it? My classes are fine, only the Monday ones are the boring ones, so it takes a lot of psyching up to muster enthusiasm for Mondays. What are your classes in...bad grammar, but you know what I mean anyway. Smile I'll do the research for you today on the way home.
All the best,
Gill

Why thank you for your kind comments. Re keeping the blends on the needles, I must admit this was someone else's idea I spotted on SQ when I first started. I had initially dismissed it as going too far Shocked but now I am a fully fledged convert. Laughing

Here is an up to date picture where the threads are less of a mess Rolling Eyes

Does anyone else do it this way?

Gill,

I'm studying law. And am increasingly of the opinion that the American legal system is way too complex. Just started this year though; hopefully by the time I'm done (total of three years) it will be a little clearer. At least computers have set formulas, right? Thanks again!

Kathleen, hi... Very Happy I'm back from college, having stopped off at the library there to do an assignment first. I stopped off at the needlewoman shop (not very PC of me, but never mind), and got hold of the information. The hoop is:- Elbesee.Table Stand 10" or 25cm diameter...No.HTS10 I'm sure they do larger dimensions too, but the one I have is the 10" one, and that keeps things under control well enough. The Company Elbesee is a UK one, so I don't know if your local place can access it, if not, I could get it for you and forward it on. If I recall, it cost me between 15 -20 Euros. I bought it this year, so the price should be the same.I have no idea what that might be in US dollars. No space left....Gill Stitching

ran out of space...ANY legal system is far too complex...they do that deliberately to confuse us all Exclamation Computers are like a class of dimwits who have to be told every single process to the point of stupidity Laughing However, it keeps us off the streets!!

You can order it online from sewandso.co.uk. They have some wonderful products and provide great service. I just recently bought a scroll frame from them, and previously a small floor stand that I love. Check them out.

Thanks, I will! Depending on the price (and the exchange rate!) I may have to "make do" until January, when I get a fresh installment of school loan money--I'm already tight. Sad We'll see. Pattern I want to start came today ( Very Happy Very Happy ), so now I'm organizing floss and waiting for the fabric to come in. And trying to go to school too, of course Smile

Very Happy great stuff! I had an idea one or other of the UK companies would mail order stuff to the US, only I didn't know which. Kathleen...Christmas is coming...relatives/friends/significant others can always be heavily hinted to for present ideas, or if you have a birthday then (mine is Christmassy time too...bad planning ma and pa!)you can try hinting then too. Cool

My birthday is in August, so no luck there.
And the only ones who give me presents for Christmas anymore are my parents, and they gave me the computer I use for school (beats paying $500 or more myself). So I'll have to see if I can come up with any other sufficiently plausible occasions to hint Smile
