Laughing My name is Cinzia and I am a cross stitcher since my teen years. I have previously purchased SQ charts but never looked at this forum, and now that I've seen it I am sorry for not having done so before!
I've gone through some of the posts and just wanted to tell you all: it felt as familiy talking.
Kisses to everybody

Ciao, Cinzia,

me, too, i am new to this forums, new to SQ and blended x-stitching as well, but not new to stitching and embroidery.
it is great to have a place where topics like the best thread for color gridding can be discussed, while the rest of the world doesn't know about gridding at all.. Wink

So... what are you two working on???

I just completed "Madonna Tempi" from... Kustom Krafts I think? (sorry, I do not keep up with brands too well!), previously I mainly did kits and I am also a crochet addict, so I bounce between the two; I am currently working on a HAED design called "Seaside Memories", a design from Sandra Kuck, which is the larger project I've ever managed to work on in cross stitch (I did a crochet bedspread in my teen years, in fact crochet/cross stitching kind of saved my sanity back then for serious problems I was having). I had a block a month or so ago, it almost always hit me when I get to a lot of confetti stitching, but then, going through some forums (a recent discovery but indeed a very pleasant and helpful one) I read of this woman that had a room dedicated to her cross stitch and a big board on which, when working on large projects, she has every single piece of strand necessary threaded and ready to be used so she does not need to stop... Needless to say I do not have a room for this nor the space, but what I did was to choose the amount of stitches I was going to do and thread all the floss required using my former projects' needles, and so it's going a little smoother. When I cannot deal with them anymore I either start stitch another area or i start a new smaller project, which will be my back up for block-times... WOW, did I write too much!! SORRY EVERYBODY, I do not get to talk cross stitch a lot, and I'm taking it out on you, forgive me!!!! Embarassed

Ummm, I don't think you wrote too much at all Smile In my opinion, the more, the better, especially when it's about stitching!!! But some people will tell you I'm kind of talkative myself - I have no idea what they are talking about... Twisted Evil

Glad the multiple-needle approach seems to be working for you! I do that sometimes, especially if it's an area I know I can get done in one sitting; other times, I just do one at a time Smile Some days, one is all I can deal with Shocked

Thank you!
Yes, this approach is for now working, I always had a problem with confetti stitches especially because I've always had limited time to stitch, and those areas take sooo long!! But now I just do small area by small area and it's coming along, slow but hey, better than none.
I do wish I had the space and time of that woman I mentioned though!!! I have all my supplies, old completed kit charts, floss and crochet hooks, magazines and all the charts I keep on buying all smashed in my closet or wherever there is space my husband and kids do not go bother too much, and I dream of how much nicer it would be to have a spacious, well lit room with a big lock and... oops, I'm overdreaming!!
