Thank you for answering my post. You can purchase 20 aida from The Rocking Horse 248-474 3113.

You can just google The Rocking Horse or 20 count aida and you can order on line if you want.

Thanks for that - I already have them in my bookmarks, just found them recently. Wish I'd had it 6 years ago when I needed it. Nordic Needle had 20ct available at the time, but I wasn't willing to pay that price plus shipping for something I didn't know if I would like when I had all kinds of 22ct available. If I could do it over - no way I'd restart this project. Ever Smile

The very beginning of it is in the gallery - but that's way outdated, and as slow as I've been, I haven't given Meredith any updates, to save myself the embarrassment Smile Embarassed .

HERE is the current album on my blog - latest picture follows the model photo, progressing back: http://rifestitch.multiply.com/photos/album/102/SQ_Lady_Unicorn_Sense_of_Hearing_sm_-_2010_-_2012

WOW ! How can you do so many at once. I only do one at a time and conmplete it and then go to another. It takes me a couple of years to do one. Sometimes I will do small projects in between big ones just to fill in family and friend requests. This one pix I have made 9 or 10 times. I sure wish I could just do what I want but I have a large family and friends and they ask for them. But I am really in awe of you. I still work and I am 72 so I do not have as much time as I would like. But, in no way am I as busy as you. laraine Carlsbad, NM

I USED to only work on one at a time - but since I have always done BIG projects (I learned how to XS on Teresa Wentzler's Unicorn - on black, no less), when I got bored with a piece, I wouldn't stitch at all. So when I decided to have a couple of things to work on, I literally could not GET bored if I tried. Of course, it's ballooned into a slightly different monster in the last couple of years, but I do attribute a lot of that to the stress level at work Smile The higher that is, the MORE I NEED TO STITCH.

I used to make things for family, but there are very few people in my family who understand and appreciate handwork - and again, only doing large pieces, I can't put hundreds of hours into something and give it away to someone who's going to toss it into the closet - my time and effort is too valuable, if only to me. And I have never done wedding or birth samplers - they are NOT my thing - so that limits requests by a LOT Smile I DID finish a wedding sampler for a stitchy friend - but that was the exception, because not everyone can deal with Stoney Creek and those %#*& doves they put into those things Laughing

Patricia, if you need a list of ONSs (Online Needlework Shops), I have a HUGE list - but there are 4-5 that I use for almost everything, and they have great sales.

My favorites are Cecila's Samplers and JJs Collectibles, but also use Stitching Bits & Bobs, Wasatch Needlecraft, Needlecraft Corner, ABC Stitch Therapy, Nordic Needle, 1-2-3 Stitch, and a group of others.

As I have never has a local shop (except for a year when I did have one - it was wonderful!), I have pretty much always haunted online shops for the stuff I can't get at Michael's, JoAnns, and Hobby Lobby - which, as you probably know, stock considerably less now than they did even a few years ago...

THESE Doves: http://rifestitch.multiply.com/photos/album/124/2011_Finishes#photo=13

You know, white and 6 shades of grey, and miles of backstitching, on WHITE fabric. <yawn> And then there's all those roses...

Beautiful when done, but WOW, I could only work on that thing in short bursts Smile

If I see a wedding sampler with these doves in it, I KNOW it's a Stoney Creek design without even asking...
