Hello everyone. Well my daughter did it again. She gave me a SQ gift certificate. I purchased Rain Bonnets, Seated Cat and Christmas Pudding. I will never do them all, but like to stash the patterns. I have started Rain Bonnets and have done something different and wondered if anyone else has done this. The piece is wider than longer. I use scroll bars. I usually work top down, so I put the fabric in sideways, so it is not as long. I still work top down on the scroll, but in actual fact I am working from the left side to the right side. Not sure if I have made myself clear.. Shocked

My top bar has developed a definite bend and, if I had anything like as wide as Ehret again, I would do it 'sideways' too. Thinking back into the dim and distant past I think I did consider doing Ehret sideways but, what with it being my first SQ pattern and the fact I have to turn a map upside down, I decided to keep it simple and do it conventionally.

Let us know how you get on and any hints and tips you use to make life easier.

Best wishes - Christine x Stitching

How are you getting on with your Ehret? I think I am working on page 5 of mine. Need to get back to it. A long way to go.

Hee hee - I am on the third to last page - the end is in sight!! I have only made some great progress in the last two weeks as I have been off work recuperating from an operation. All OK now though so the last 3 pages will take a little longer Very Happy .

Here are the update pictures for 2012 so far: http://divecat.multiply.com/photos/album/29/2012_-_Ehret_die_Frauen

Looking forward to seeing your updates.

I KEEP READING WHERE YOUR GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT FINISHING A PAGE ON OR PAGE SUCH AND SUCH. IF YOU WORK ONE PAGE AT A TIME DOES IT SHOW UP ON YOUR WORK? I HAVE BEEN DOING LINE ONE ON ALL 5 OF THE FIRST PAGES AND THEN GOING TO LINE 2 OF ALL FINE PAGES WORKING LEFT TO RIGHT AND COMPLETEING EACH ROW BEFORE GOING TO THE NEXT ROW BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE WHERE YOU DID EACH PAGE IF YOU DID NOT GO ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ENTIRE PROJECT AND COMPLE THE ROW BEFORE YOU GO TO THE SECOND ROW? IT IS A LOT OF TROUBLE TO KEEP CHANGEING MY PAGES AND IT WOULD BE A LOT EASIER IF I COULD FINISH EACH PAGE BEFORE I HAD TO GET OUT ANOTHER ONE BUT I WAS TOLD IT WOULD SHOW UP ON THE FINISHED WORK. YOU CAN SEE MY COMPLETED PROMISE IN THE GALLERY LARAINE
