Everybody must be busy stitching because no one's posting...
Just thought I'd let you all know that I've posted a link on my Stitchery page to a photo of my current work in progress: The Sense of Light. I've been working on it for about 2 months now. I probably won't have it done by the end of the year Laughing

It looks like you're just getting to the interesting part! It felt like it took a while to get out of the sky on the piece I'm doing but once you have some actual picture to look at as you work, it's so satisfying. The feathers are looking good.

Thanks!
I'll start on the face when I scroll up a bit, and that'll be just as soon as I get a couple more skeins of floss... Seems no matter how many times I've checked my list, certain colors disappear into thin air (I've got gremlins Laughing ) and of course, one of those colors is in the first two feathers!

Hey, I have a great idea. Why don't I send you my Scarlet Quince piece?

Kidding. I just got back from the doctor and I have to stay home for a couple of days and nurse my sinus infection. You can guess what I will be doing!

OK, Cindy, I've posted an updated pic... Sorry for the long wait: The one I took just before Christmas didn't come out. This one's as of Feb 18, approx. 6 months and about a third of the way in...

INCREDIBLE! I can't wait to start stitching again. You inspire me. I really miss this site. I wish more people would post. Barbara, I signed your guest book. I hope you will stay in touch. I would love to watch the progress on your piece and share my stitches with you.

Barbara,

I noticed in the picture on your web site that you have marked your fabric with a dark thread to help keep your place. Is it difficult to remove this once the project is complete?

I usuallly mark with a thread on top of completed stitches , but your method may work better if it is easy to remove the thread.

The picture of your progress is beautiful. Good work.

As long as you don't inadvertently stitch through the marker thread, it just slips out.
