Great Wave, all done.     Reply with quote

Our Miss Meredith just put up the last photo of my completed Great Wave. It's not a great picture, and it's not a great framing job. But.... it's done! On to the next kid's choice (Lady and Unicorn). Still not thrilled with having to work on a hoop, I have set the Q-Snaps aside for the moment. I will send in a shot for the gallery of that one soon. Whew. Finished things make me so happy.

Thank you both. She did select a wonderful frame, I never would have even looked in that direction. She said it reminded her of the sea, and then waves... She is the most creative kid.
It was really interesting for me to do this first SQ after I had done the Heaven and Earth one, and a Mystic Stitch pattern right before. The differences are slight, and we discussed many of them around here. But I have to say, Meredith wins, hands down, when it comes to customer service, website, and absolutely anything having to do with us mere stitchers. I am going to stick with her from now on. (Which will be until I die because I am so backed up with things that need to finished and into frames.)

Julie that looks so fantastic! I'm soooooo impressed! You just slaughtered that pattern! So now you're on to L&U too (there's getting to be quite a club!), which one has your daughter chosen?

I can't figure out how to do the link thing. So here is the name as Meredith has it on the pattern Lady with Unicorn: A Mon Seul Desir. When Youngest Daughter told me that she had made her selection, I asked which one. She said, "uh it's not a one, it's a series." We comprimised and I have started here, she wants all six. But then her brother stepped in, he of the H & E Narcissus, and said, wait wait, he wanted the rotation to begin again, with him. At this point I called a halt to the argument, and told them that after all three had a work of art from mother, mother got to work on something for herself! (I have been ordering SQ charts that I like, but haven't gotten any farther than fondeling them as they show up in the mailbox.) My progress has been painfully slow because I can't put this thing on stretcher bars. Pictures eventually.

If I 1) finish the L&U I have, and 2) lose my mind completely and want to start another, that's the one I want! I can't wait to see your WIP pics of it!!! Something tells me you will be slightly faster at it than I am at mine Rolling Eyes

"In this lifetime!" Exactly, I feel as if this is going to take me mine, and Youngest Daughter's as well. BUT, since I do normally stitch fairly fast (and have no other project of this type going, and STILL don't have a damn job, AND all my chicks are out of the nest), I may be able to get it done before we all head off to the Stitching Post In the Sky. You guys will be the first to see updates. (LOL, I love this forum.)
