I received my first order 2 days ago, and just love it! I had seen the painting a number of years ago in a museum, have wanted to stitch it since then. A friend told me about your site, and I am hooked. I ordered a large-print version, and the labels, both are as expected. I haven't used bobbins before, so I am having an issue with the sticky-ness, but will use tape before I wind. Wish I had been aware before buying the plastic bobbins, but I bought them for size more than anything. Ah, well, live and learn. I'm not complaining. Hope to get to actual stitching within a week - the amount of colors and winding will be my evening project for a few days. Can't wait to see the project completed.

Welcome to the site and forum! Your comment reminded me...from the time I first learned about pointillism technique of painting, I thought, "that would be a perfect picture to cross-stitch" with all the dots. I never imagined that blended colors could be used to create such beautiful work that looks so much like a painting. With that being said, "Sunday Afternoon on Le Grande Jatte" has always been one of my favorite paintings, and that is the SQ I'm working on.

Next week, I have a work trip to Chicago for a couple of days, and guess where I'm going??? To the Art Institute of Chicago to see "my" painting!!! I just stand and stare at it when I'm there. I can't wait. It will get me more inspired to stitch more when I get back home.

Hope all have a great rest of the weekend!
