While working on 'Jewels of the Orient', which is getting close to being finished, I had to set up my magnifying light. 18 count was getting too hard on my eyes without it.

Lo, and behold, while I was doing a darker blue, I discovered a lot of light fibres being tangled in it. So, I got my tweezers and am using them to get those nasties out. I also use them to take out the dark fibres that get caught up in the lighter colours.

We never stop learning, do we?

I have a few pictures at community.webshots.com/user/stitcherfe

I will put more recent ones in once I have finished some outlining on 'Jewels'. It is a Dimension kit done on 18 count aida.

Thanks for your interest, Rifestitch. Laughing

Oh, I can't find it! I opened your link but found only photos of other things in a 'shoebox' -very nice other things by the way, but just not Jewels of the Orient!

When I go into my shoebox, I click on the picture that is showing, and the other pictures appear.

I hope you can get it to work; I love sharing my work with others that appreciate the work and achievement and satisfaction we get from stitching.

Oooooh, Nancy, I tried again and I get 6 pictures (all of them lovely, but none of them Jewels of the Orient). I do however appreciate the time, effort, and love put into each and every one of your projects!

Oh, silly silly me!!! Shocked I've just realised that I have been looking at your Jewels the whole time without realising what it was! I had another picture in my mind of another pattern with a similar name and when I didn't see that in your shoebox I thought it mustn't be there! Embarassed Embarassed But of course, your beautiful oriental lady is everything she could be! I'm glad I finally found her and congratulations on the excellent work! Very Happy

Thanks, Alanna. I'm working on the second lady, and when I get her outlined, I will add her to my pictures. It's getting near to being done, and I am anxious to see the finished product.
