I thought I show my progress on Irises by Monet. I started stitching on May 14, 2007. I am stitching on 16 count white Aida. My stitching time will be cut short this summer as I travel a LOT for work and I am afraid to take a project of this size with me. My original intention was to stitch each page completely before starting the next, but I deserted my plan because I wanted to stitch some blue this week.

Wow - it looks fantastic, so far! That's a lot of progress for one month! And I don't take anything this big anywhere, either - lamp, frame, box o' threads; too much trouble! Can't wait to see more, I love this design myself.

The shading looks really beautiful. I am eager to see future pictures of it's progress.

Looking good, and you've done a lot. Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to seeing it as you work on it.

Ohhh... it looks great! Are the guidelines on the fabric something you drew in, or were they already there??? They look like they'd help a lot.

I gridded the fabric with a water soluble fabriccil pen. I like the pencils better than the pens. It will come out when I wash it, but it will be covered with stitches in any case, and I can't see any of the gridding lines.

Oooooh, how lovely! You've made a lot of progress for your first month- bravo! You look very organised with your gridding and everything, so the rest should be a breeze, right?
Don't worry about having to take a break, it will just renew your desire to stitch all the more when you come back to it! In the meantime, do you have a smaller project to take on the road with you?

Here is today's (1-8-0 progress on Irises. I put down the project in late June to work on travel projects, and I picked it up again around Jan. 1st.

Nice pictures! Thanks for sharing. In case it isn't obvious to everyone, the pictures included in posts are truncated but you can see the whole picture by right-clicking on it and then selecting "View Image". Depending on your browser the little menu may say something different. (The same thing happens with long links -- you can't see the whole link but if you click it, it works (at least if it ever did)). Gosh, what a geek I am.
