Fantastic progress, Rife! It's really looking good. I see that you have abandoned parking, but from what I can see of your unparkeed progress it looks like you made the right decision. The further you can run with a colour, the faster you go I guess. Well done anyway, and keep us updated!

(I haven't touched my dragon ONCE this month- I've been swamped with two major deadlines that have me working pretty much through the nights). Crying or Very sad

Yeah, parking is a nice idea, but I found I wasn't really gaining anything by it - not on this particular design, at any rate - was actually losing some of my valuable time, so why agonize over it? I already had the run-with-a-color method tested and proven. I won't rule out using it in the future, just not now Smile

Well, I hope once you meet your deadlines, you'll have plenty of time to make up for lost time Smile Once you've taken a nap or two, of course!

I can't even imagine what it will feel like to have only 2 1/2 pages to go on L&U!!! I do tend to go faster as I near the end - though am I really stitching faster, or is it purely my imagination??? Actually, I'll just be happy the day I have double-digit number of pages completed, and a single-digit number of pages to go - I think that's going to be a long way off Laughing But the real question is - how many TWs can I get done in that time? I never thought the day would come that I find a project that makes a TW look childishly easy Smile

Hi Rife, thanks for the answer it's a great idea Very Happy , don't like the dice though, also prefer to know what will come next, so did make a start and hope it will work! Because even if you're ,at that moment, don't really like what you're doing you know it will be just for a few days!!!!!!!
Never did try a proper rotation, but with all the WIPs, it's time to have a go at it Exclamation
Also want to say that the TWs don't look that easy with all the metallics and beads and your castle looks stunning.
It's possible near the end, my mother used to say that too, the moment you can see the finishline, needles are flying!
Happy Stitching

I didn't bother to go back through here to see when I last posted an update - but I worked on L&U last week, and have pictures up in my Multiply and in my Webshots:
http://tinyurl.com/6png74 on my Multiply, or
http://tinyurl.com/54t8u5 on my Webshots

I have spent the last two rotations doing nothing but confetti, but I have worked my way over to the right-hand flag, so once I get the rest of the background around it stitched, the flag itself ought to go pretty quickly....

Which red - there are about 30 different ones, maybe more, in all of this Smile That's why I decided on working by rotation - there's no way I could only work on this one project....

Yep, it's a killer alright. I think when I (eventually) start my L&U, I'll do it in conjunction with Neptune's Horses (which is primarily blue and green). I think they should balance each other out nicely! Very Happy

Hey, everyone!! I have posted my latest update on Lady & Unicorn, if you care to take a look - I have passed the 20,000 stitch mark (20% is 26.5K) and am closing in, finally, on getting the top row of pages done. These are an overall & detail pic on my Multiply: http://tinyurl.com/9novoh - overall
http://tinyurl.com/7agsle - detail

or the L&U album on my Webshots: http://tinyurl.com/2f2nv7

And if you are having any trouble sleeping, you can see my year in review, with lots & lots of links, on my Multiply, here:

2008 has been a year of great finishes for me - we'll see what 2009 has in store!! Wishing everyone here a happy & prosperous 2009 - with lots & lots of stitching!!
