Hello everyone, hope you have a good Christmas.
I started a Christmas stocking in cross-stitch at a friend's house from a kit, and somehow the chart got lost or misplaced or *heavens!* tossed out by the maid . If you have a copy of "The Best of Christmas" designed by Linda Gillum from the Kooler Design Studio, I would appreciate it. This was a Bucilla kit(#82915), but I haven't been able to find it referenced anywhere online. Thanks.

I'm jealous too!! If I had a maid it'd give me more time to stitch.
No, I don't have a maid, unfortunately. But my friend, who is on disability, has a Personal Service Worker come in once a week to help her -- not really a maid, but she does tend to put things away in strange places...

Remember I was looking for the pattern for "The Best of Christmas" stocking? Well, my friend (at who's house it went missing) was rearranging furniture yesterday and got to a pile of papers in the closet... guess what she found? Yup! The pattern. I guess that's my next project.

I love The Borrowers! Did you ever see the film version with Eddie Albert as Pa? I think it was made for TV. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

That usually happens with expensive things in my house. My husband took his wedding ring off one day, so he could do something oily, I think, and remembered it the next day; it was gone. We tore the house apart - moved furniture, refridgerators, the whole bit. About 8 months later, I decided to get the sweeper out and sweep all of the crumblies out of the counch, in between the cushions and such. As I was taking the cushions off, I looked down, and right there in the very middle of one of the seats sat his ring. And I can't tell you how many times we had had all the cushions off already, when we were looking for it originally, and when the kids used them to build forts. There's no way it was there the whole time, and we are both reasonably sure the boys didn't have it.
I lost a camera for several months that way, and other things. Just one day, there the missing thing is, in plain site. I'd blame it on ghosties, but we're the only people to have ever lived in our house, and if our house was built over the top of something it shouldn't, I probably don't want to know

Yes, I definitely have an "other world/time portal" in my house that regularly swallows odd socks, important phone numbers jotted down on bits of paper, and anything at all that belongs to my husband (he is plagued with losing things)...
Happy happy for you though Barb, and happy santa stitching- with luck you'll have it finished by this Christmas!
