When things go missing in my own home, I say out loud, "Give It Baaack!" Evil or Very Mad and it usually turns up within the hour, like Nancy-hubby's ring, sitting somewhere I looked a few times already. But this only works in my own home.

I should have the stitching finished before Christmas, not sure about the putting together bit though, Alanna.

So glad Barb's pattern came back. We have the same thing happen in our house - we call the phenomenon "house elves." A friend who paints needlepoint canvases (and I stitch her displays) made me a custom design for another friend's birthday. By the time I had all the threads together, the house elves had taken the canvas. It just turned up last week, it went missing in January. I gave my friend something else as a gift, so she gets this on next year's birthday. Kinda like shopping WAY ahead.
