Looking for a 2002 magazine     Reply with quote

As I was drooling over the Silkweaver site again the other night (when I was supposed to be doing laundry), I ran across a dragonfly design in their 2005 Stitcher's Showcase, Medium. It was a design from the Vickery Collection, and I contacted them after not finding it in their current in-print list. They finally found where it got published - in Crazy for Cross Stitch #70, May 2002. And, just because that's my luck, this magazine is no longer published, and when I hit their e-mail link, hoping they would still sell back issues, I got an "Undeliverable" error. Does anybody have this magazine and would be willing to part with it for a small fee??? Loan it to me???

Must. Have. Dragonflies.

I have checked ebay, but did not search through the 2390 hits that weren't Crazy for Cross Stitch specifically - I could spend a month trying to decipher what's in some of those lots, and still not be sure.

OT - your web page     Reply with quote

Hey, I just checked out your webpage - very nice! I left an entry in your guestbook!

I have been working on mine for months - the front end will be retail space for my jewelry, but I am hoping to have a whole area dedicated to my stitching - I have stuff out in Webshots and in a couple of Yahoo XS groups I belong to. If I could just get my web guy to get it done for me; I'm not paying him, so I guess I'm getting what I'm paying for, since I'm doing all the work Confused

Good stuff!

Yahoo groups     Reply with quote

I am actually a member of 4 Yahoo groups, the first of which is an Atlanta Stitchers group, but there is almost no activity in there at all. It can be found here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AtlantaStitchers/

I also belong to one that is devoted primarily to the Golden Kite designs, which is my next favorite site after this one. That is IntricateXS group, here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IntricateXS/

And then there is BAPXS group - Big A** Projects in Cross Stitch - I think Scarlet Quince falls readily under that! But in all reality, anything that feels like a BAP, is! There is lots going on there, and a few of us working on SQ - there's a wealth of knowledge there:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bapxs-ot/

And finally, from BAPXS, we splintered off into another group devoted solely to Long Dog Samplers - if you haven't seen these yet, they are just absolutely beautiful. I have 2 coming for the stash right now! Google Long Dog Samplers and see! That group is here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/longdogsamplers/

I assume the links above will only let you see the home pages if you have a Yahoo id already - you might even have to join the group before you can see these - I don't remember. Check them out - lots of good discussion, tips, expertise, and of course, more ideas for stash!!! And about 8 million links to everyone's pics.

Thankee thankee thankee... Unfortunately, there's a glitch in the guestbook and I only received part of your post...

Is it a commercial site you have to pay for, or one of Yahoo's freebies? If the latter, they have templates that are pretty straight-forward.
