Sense of Light WIP (after about 1 month)     Reply with quote

No-one warned me that stitching Scarlet Quince patterns would be so addictive! I'm stitching four hours a night and not even stopping to watch Kiefer in 24. *g* Well, not watch it properly anyway. I watch Kiefer's bits and stitch when everyone else is on.

I'm getting to the angel's arm now, it'll nice to put some pinks and reds in after the purples, blues and greys. There's a lovely sweep of angel's wing forming in the foreground now, but I'm just amazed at the colour blends. They are truly something else!

When there's a bit more angel in the pic, I'll probably post a pic in the gallery.

Cheers mateys!

It's looking fantastic so far!!! Well done! Gee, I wish I had 4 hours every night to stitch - I could actually make a dent in the WIPs and stash!

I see you started at the bottom... I started at the top. That bottom corner has less "confetti" than the rest of the chart... which is a help. After two years working on mine, I just want to get it finished!

Smile It's not so hard to find the time because I live alone...well kinda sorta. I've got a cottage on a quarter acre block with my parent's house behind me. My brother also lives here in a caravan. So, although it can get hectic, I usually have the evenings to myself. *g*

I just wish I could make a bigger dent in the angel though. I think the pages that I started on have many colour changes which slows the process up a bit.

Only two years, eh? (joking) You must be so close to finishing now. And, as you started from the top you've got that beautiful angel's face peering out at you to spur you on. Getting to her face is my goal! That, and leaving these angel's wings behind as soon as I can.

Wow, it's just looking absolutely fantastic Angela, and after only one month too! I'd be embarrassed to put up a photo of my one-month progress on my latest project; anyway I'm now up to three months and so have a little something to show- but still not as much as you!

But what I REALLY want to know is how you pasted your photo into your post????? Surprised

Posting an image is easy! First, you post your jpeg to a webhost - I use Photobucket at the moment. It's free, and pretty simple to upload a pic there. Then, you'll notice that there's three lines of code beneath the uploaded image in your album. Just copy the IMG code into your Scarlet Quince post and that's it. I just grabbed the IMG code for a small icon I made for a friend this morning - so here it is...

Hope you find this helpful!

Very Happy

Angela
