Well, it all sounds lovely anyway. I would love to have a house with a whole room in it devoted just to me, even if I didn't really have time to use it that often; at least I would know it was there waiting for me whenever I was ready. In our old house I used to have my own study and that was wonderful. Sometimes I used to just go and sit in there and enjoy the mineness of that space. But now I'm stuck in an appartment where everyone lives on top of each other- I've claimed the comfy corner of the couch, but that's as far as my dominion goes unfortunately. Oh well, there are advanrages too. Still dreaming of the day when we'll buy a 1000 acre property in rural Australia and fill it full of horses to live out our days in wild rapture... sigh.
In other news though, I've now finished that UN job and it went really well. It was a whole heap of work over a very short period (absolutely no stitching even thought of), but I got it done and they got back to me with some very positive feed-back. So hopefully they'll need me again in the future, or at least be willing to be a reference for something else.
So now it's back to freelancing and teaching- what a blast!
Just a note of concern ..... in the future you may wish not to disclose where you live or the activities your children are in. There are a lot of crazies out there that can figure out where people live. Have a great day and happy stitching!!

Norcross, Georgia... just northeast of Atlanta. It has a big fenced in yard for my dogs, and lots of rooms with good natural light for stitching... I even claimed one of the bedrooms for my own personal Craft Room.
Now, if I only had time to enjoy that room... <sigh>
Well, you're closer to my work - I'm in Duluth, but live up in Flowery Branch. And I work full time, have two boys on travel soccer teams, plus do beaded jewelry and have a serious reading habit. There are some weeks when I don't get to touch a needle at all (SQ designs aren't very travel-friendly ).
Fabala, do you ever frequent the Needlework House on Satellite? I stop in when I'm looking to see non-DMC floss in person, and am trying to get Mary to expand her lines.[/quote]

You make a good point. I don't usually think about things like that. My dogs won't even let the UPS man knock without a rukus... :/
