Hello, I'm sues, a new member and just thought I would introduce myself. I'm a grandmother, I enjoy reading, family time and catching up with friends; and of course I love cross-stitching. I have small projects I work on during the day when I can snatch a few miutes over a cuppa or free time and a larger project that I work on during the evenings. My days just wouldn't be the same without my stitching!!
This is such a beautilful web-site - and so easy to navigate and follow. I look forward to meeting you all, and maybe make some new friends on the way.

So, what are you working on???
Hi rifestitch. For the smaller projects I like to stitch designs for birthday cards, usually alphabet ones. With six grandchildren and family, plus special friends, there's always someone to stitch for, and I like to stitch Christmas cards as well, so I have plenty of those to keep me busy! And for the bigger project I'm currently stitching a set of four pictures from the 'Told.in.a.garden series'. The one I'm working on now is called Home of a Quilter.
I've got a family tree design going as well but that's one that I put down and pick up again, so it's probably going to take me several years to complete! I'm not a very fast worker......
Thanks for your welcome. Happy stitching.

Hello Alanna. I've been looking through the patterns and they are all so lovely I really can't decide! I have down loaded the free pattern though and will make that my intoduction one and then go from there. It may take me a while but I intend to start on it when I've finished the four pictures I'm currently working on. I'm making them for my sister and want to complete them all before starting another project.
I'll keep you posted......
That's fair enough, I'm pretty much a one-project person too, or at least I like to be, I've got a few pots on the stove at the moment though, and I guess I find it a bit overwhelming. I suppose because stitching is only one of the many things I have to juggle in my life so I like it to be as simple as possible! Anyway, you can't go wrong the Redoute rose in any case, and who knows, by the time you get around to it, something else may have taken your fancy! Meredith can be very sneaky with bringing out gorgeous new patterns that you simply have to have!
