Hi! I'm a fairly new stitcher and i would like to know if you have any suggestions on what brand/type of scroll frame I should buy. I'm starting on my first big project, Waterlilies by Monet. Thanks. Very Happy

Hi -

Check out Artisan Designs website. I use their Lokscroll frames with their Ergo floor stand. I've been stitching for years and have used hoops and other frames and for me, this combo works the best. I can stitch in my recliner without strain.

My first SQ project (Sir Thomas Lawrence's "Pinkie") should arrive in the next day or two. Do you suppose I should finish a birth sampler in progress and my "Celtic Christmas" before I start that????? Laughing

She just turned 2 on May 16!! Laughing I've finished the cross stitching, but am wading through yards of back stiching. I detest backstitching which is the main reason I'm so excited about my Scarlet Quince chart! The chart arrived Saturday so I'm busy collecting the floss bobbins out of my storage bins. I've got the fabric stashed in another spot to I've got to get that out and overcast the edges. I think after studying the chart all weekend I'm going to baste 10 x 10 blocks before I start!!!

I try to do the bs as I go along... obviously it's not possible all the time, but when it is, it helps a lot.
