The guys at Needle Needs (UK) have just released this 7 minute video on how to use their frame - now I know where I've been going wrong all this time. You'd think it was obvious, but clearly not.
However, once you know how to, you can get great tension on your projects.

Thanks for the tutorial link, Christine! These are great frames to use. They provide wonderful tension, and are easy to operate. Unfortunately, the fabric for my current project is really wide, so I have it in q-snaps. I'm missing my Needle Needs frame!

Yes, they're really great - once you know how to operate them
I won't go back to anything else now.

This frame looks awesome. It keeps a tautness just like a qsnap only with a scroll frame-best of both worlds!
Wish I could afford one

It's worth saving up for and lasts a lifetime!
I costed up doing Ehret from scratch including the frame and it came out at £5 per month for the lifetime of the project. What else can you do for hours and hours at such a price?
Best wishes - Christine x

Christine,
I just watched the tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing this! This looks awesome! My question is--can you then attach this to a floor frame, or do you hold in your lap, or what do you do? I think I'm going to order one if they have a bar wide enough--and if it will go in a floor stand.
Thanks,
Pam

Hi Pam
It does fit on a floor stand. I bought Needle Needs' own stand, the Necessaire. Here it is: http://www.needleneeds.co.uk/store/category.php?id_category=5.
It can accommodate any sort of frame as the frame rests on the stand rather than being attached to it.
If you scroll down the page, you can also see the lap stands and other products by Needle Needs.
Enjoy! Christine x
PS - I do NOT own shares in the company
