I just finished my final national exam yesterday, and now I am going to stitich..... stitich and stitch.......
I am so excited to start this pattern.... the little girl reminds me of my grandaughter...( I am stitching the story book).
I am stitching it on cream coloured aida, 18 count.
Does it matter that the aida isn't white?
I would hate to start it and then be disappointed with the results because I didn't chose the right background colour.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Congratulations on finishing your exams! That's a great piece you have chosen. Personally, I prefer to stitch on cream or ivory, as no matter what you do, there will be some of the fabric showing on 18 count, and I think cream or ivory does not show up as much as white does. I have done one SQ on ivory and one on white, and I still wish I had chosen an off-white rather than white on 18 count.
