Hi Barbs - I am living in NZ but am from SA too. I love Xstitch but it frustrates me that I have so little time to devote to it. I like samplers and love the classics on this site. I can't stand cutesy designs like the ones you can buy in the local haberdashery store! So I trawl online for great ideas. I downloaded a georgeous garden sampler, got all the floss colours and was halfway through it when I lost it!!! Yip, I took it in to my local fabric store to match some floss, and it must have dropped out of my cardboard tube onto the footpath outside the store. I went back to notify them, posted ads in the local papers etc, but it has never turned up. I was gutted. I haven't done a stitch since. I wanted to wait hoping it would turn up, but am now thinking of starting it again since I got all the colours. Has anything awful like this happened to anyone else out there?

Hello All

My name is Dianne and I have been stitching for over 20 years. I seem to never be able to run out of things to stitch. I live in Missouri, USA. I am currently working on The Silver Lining " Summer Sunshine" pattern and I am enjoying it alot.
Hope all are having happy stitches.

Hello right back at you!

I'm from SA too but a different SA Very Happy

I've been stitching fom almost 20 years (I think I feel tired now).

I spend very little time on these forums as all I want to do is stitch. I have tried but I usually tire of them. Maybe this one will be different and I'll spend more time here. I like it so far, you seem I nice bunch. I also don't like the cutsie cross stitch much, I like to work on the big and complicated projects. Curerntly I am working on Lady with Unicorn: Sense of Hearing. It is the biggest thing I have attempted - I do hope I can finish it as it should be magnificent when finished.

Hi everyone. My name is Shelley and I live in Canada. I've been stitching since '95 and so enjoy it. It's like therapy. I love primitive, reproduction samplers, and the incredible patterns I see on Scarlet Quince. I'm sure I have enough projects to do to last severall lifetimes!!

I'm off to the Canadian embroiderers' assciation's annual seminar in a couple of weeks. I've never taken a week long seminar so am looking forward to the experience.

Have a good day everyone!!
Very Happy
