Received Merry Old Santa Claus and The Young Gardener a couple of days ago. Now am trying to get organized with floss for Santa. I hope to be able to use some of the floss I have kept from kits for some of the colours that use small amounts. It's a fun challenge, as I have done mainly kits before. Looking forward to getting everything lined up and started. What is it they say--something about anticipation being the best part?

Happy Stitching.

And with luck, it'll be finished in time for next Christmas... Have fun!

Absolutely! Gotta finish 'Jewels" first, then I will start Santa. One project of cross-stitching at a time, along with my knitting and sewing, it keeps me amused Laughing

Yay, have fun with your new patterns Nancy, that really is the most exciting part (apart from finishing of course!).

Well, here we are in the new year, and ready to stitch.

I hope everyone had a good holiday season. We all must be very tired or very busy stitching, because I haven't seen a new post this year.

Thought I'd get it started with a bit of an update about myself. I have my camera back(left it in Michigan in November), but haven't been organized enough to get more pictures in my website.

I'm still working on 'Jewels of the Orient'; without saying, I'm not one of those fast stitchers.

At the same time, I'm getting organized for starting 'Santa'. I found a conversion chart for DMC to Dimensions, which helped. A lot of my floss on hand is for kits from Jannlyn and Creative Circle, also. It will take a bit more work to match them. I have also found the DMC colour chart online, which should help match colours.

The best price for floss on-line that I have found is from ABC stitching-DMC is $.40 each skein. Anybody else found good prices for fabric or floss?

That about sums up my world in the cross stitch zone. Hope to hear from everyone soon Smile

Happy Stitching

Michael's Arts & Crafts has them on sale from time to time for 4/$1, regularly 3/$1.

Tho, thats here in Atlanta... not sure what the pricepoints for thread are elsewhere. /shrug

Thanks, Fabala.

There is a Michael's where I live, and I'll keep an eye open for their sales.

I also want to apologize to those who have posted this year. I was wrong to say no-one had posted yet. Embarassed

Happy Stitching!

Another website I've found when I was looking for linen is www.123stitch, they also seem to have a variety in their clearance section.
