“I am working full time and trying to study too as well as take care of a family, but I do love to cross
stitch (it is my time for me).” This is her progress so far.

“I have now come to the end of my second year of stitching this beautiful picture. I may be slow but I am enjoying it very much.”

“I have also found that I now save time threading my needle by having many needles threaded at once. I have enlarged the thread key and put it onto a piece of craft foam. When the needle is threaded it is then stuck into the foam next to the symbol or that colour. Then when I need to stitch some more of that colour it is easily found again. I used to spend a lot of time threading the needle each time I was to stitch another colour for even just one cross and now I also save thread as I do not waste the bit that is cut off after completing the cross and anchoring the thread. A picture of my needles threaded is included. There are spaces for more needles, to be threaded as I come to each colour, or when I have finished the thread for a colour and will thread a new needle when I next need it.”

“Three years have gone by and I am still working at this. I am still enjoying it and am pleased with my progress even though it is slow going by the standard of most pictures posted in your gallery. Perhaps I can say to people that it does not matter how slow you go as long as you keep going.”

“It is about time I sent you my latest picture. I am still plodding along with "lady" and I will finish it. I got slowed down during the last year as I became a grandmother for the first time and took some time out to stitch something for my granddaughter’s bedroom wall. I’m back to it now though and have now nearly completed the empty part you see in the bottom right corner. I just love it when I can start a new page of the pattern. ”
