Hello stitching friends,We have a pattern award this month! Thank you to Leanne Trumper of Gymea Bay, Australia who won a copy of "The White Water Lilies - Claude Monet" for being the first to suggest it! See below for a picture.
Floss labels are almost here!
Floss labels are coming very soon! Starting early in March, you'll have the option to include a set of floss labels when you order a pattern. These are not generic floss labels -- there is a specific set of labels for each pattern. The labels include the symbols and the floss numbers in large print, and there is one label for each solid color (used alone or in blends) as well as a label for each blend.
The labels are 1" wide by 5/8" high. They are designed to be folded over the tops of bobbins (the printing is only on the lower half of the label). Yes, they cover the hole -- if you use a bobbin winder, wind the floss onto the bobbin before attaching the label. They can also be attached to floss bags or other storage systems.
You will also be able to purchase floss labels for patterns you already own. However, if your pattern is more than two years old (what? you haven't finished it yet?) we ask that you check with us before ordering so that we can verify that the labels are correct for your pattern (the colors haven't changed but in a few cases the symbols may have).
Many of our members provided valuable comments and feedback on the labels idea -- thank you all!
We have more new pictures in the gallery! There's "Summer - Giuseppe Arcimboldo", progress on the beautiful yellow "Rosa eglanteria - Pierre-Joseph Redoute", and a finished Lady and Unicorn: Sense of Hearing. Stop by and have a look!
