Hello stitching friends,

We have many new pictures in the gallery! Be sure to check them out.

We also have a pattern award this month! Falconry, a detail from the Devonshire Hunting Tapestries was suggested by Marie Risbeck, and we've sent her a copy of the pattern.

Fabric Calculator Enhancement

We've added a new feature to the fabric calculator! As you probably know, our fabric calculator doesn't just tell you how much fabric you'll need -- it helps you visualize how your stitching might look framed! Until now, though, it always used a standard frame width. Now you can tell it how wide a frame to show! Of course, the frame size doesn't affect the amount of material you'll need (though the size of any mat does). But trying different frame sizes allows you to experiment with framing options in a more realistic way. Here are some examples of possible framing options for one of our new patterns, Falconry.

In each of these examples, the stitched size is the same -- about 22 x 18 inches (or 55 x 45 cm). If they seem different, it's because the different frame and mat widths fool the eye.

New patterns! Clink any picture for a closer look.
