Cross Stitch Patterns from Fine Art by Scarlet Quince

Scarlet Quince News
August 2010

Hello stitching friends,

We have two pattern awards this month: Washington Crossing the Delaware - Emanuel Leutze was suggested by Lisa Maguire of Olmstedville, New York. Lisa MCosley of Raleigh, North Carolina suggested The Story Book - William Bouguereau. They've each received copies of the patterns they suggested. Thank you for the suggestions, ladies!
New Tutorials

We've added two new tutorials to our tutorials section. The first, Stitching Part of a Pattern appeared in a past newsletter but hadn't previously made it into the tutorials list.

The second, Threading the Needle is new material covering cutting the floss, pulling out strands, and getting it into the needle. Yeah, you think you know how to do it! But have a look, you might learn something!

As always, feedback on tutorials (or anything for that matter) is encouraged. Are they clear? Is there anything missing? What other topics would you like to see?

We have many beautiful new pictures in the gallery! About time, some of you are thinking. We apologize -- we do get a little behind sometimes. Which somehow reminded us of this cartoon:

We have new patterns! Clink any picture
