Okay Wise Ones, I have a fixation on doors and windows, the images of, as in pictures, paintings, photos and obviously cross stitch patterns, and I am always in search of new ones. (I didn't know which category this question would fall under, so I thought some coffee break chat might qualify.) Any ideas? And if we can come up with some cool ones, they could be suggested for SQ charts. Thanks.
Thank you rife, those are very close. I had not seen these designs before. Some are exactly what I was looking for. There is a photographer by the name of Dennis Borloga whose pictures are amazing, and if I knew how to make THOSE into cross stitch (or he could do it) I would be in crafters heaven.

Did you mean Barloga? I found this link: http://www.barloga.com/default4.asp maybe you could suggest one of these to Meredith? She did do one pattern from a photo- the African elephant.
Well, when you say paintings of windows and doors I immediately think of trompe l'oeil paintings, where you are deceived into thinking a painting is the real thing. Muriel actually already has a few trompe l'oeil pieces in here (one of a violin and 'Job lot cheap' as well I think). There are a million examples of this style of art, so if you just google it you should get heaps. I found this link though http://users.senet.com.au/~rfrancis/ and thought I'd stick it here because this guy is a fantastic Australian artist, and if it's Australian well then it's just got to be good, doesn't it?!
Okay, yes that is how you spell Dennis' last name (apoligies for my chronic dyslexia). And wow, those tromp l'oeil peices by the Australian artist are amazingly beautiful. I want some in my house, heck, I want some of those houses. And lastly, the "Escaping Criticism" is a wee bit too realistic for my un-refined tastes, but it IS well done. Thank you so much for all you found and brought to us. You guys are the best, I knew you would have wonderful ideas. Next up, deciding which one to suggest.
