Hi Barbara, hot hot and more hot! I'm actually in an area that isn't so adversely affected by the heat wave. Usually the north is much much hotter than the south but this time we're sort of lucky. The weather continues to be in the mid 30s and just extremely humid (which I hate), but sultry weather sort of goes with the area. Down south though they've been getting high 40s, even 47 for a bit, in areas that don't usually go above 34!! It's really terrible and of course all the old people are dropping off like flies because they're just not prepared for that kind of heat down there and probably don't even have air conditioners. This crazy global warming is changing solid weather patterns all over the world. It's all very very disconcerting (or inconvenient as Al Gore would say!) .
One of my pals in Melbourne has been miserable!! And the odd power outages, and mosquitoes all over as she's leaving the windows & doors open in her new place w/no screens (not that many screens keep out the mozzies).
