I'm surprised you don't have DaVinci's The Last Supper, and how about Queen Nephertiti's death mask as a companion piece to King Tut's? (I can make all kinds of suggestions... maybe you should put me on your payroll )

I will put Madonna of the Street on the list as your suggestion. The Last Supper and Nefertiti are on the list. The problem with The Last Supper is that it's SO big. It turns out that when you look at a picture with people in it, you're immediately drawn to the faces and in particular the eyes. If there are not at least several stitches to each eye it doesn't look like an eye and hence the person looks like some kind of pudding-headed monster. So a pattern for The Last Supper would have to be really big. It might be that you'd have to stitch it sideways in order for it to fit on the fabric.
I would like to do Nefertiti and have been looking for picture which has the head (I assume you mean that head statue thing) turned so that the bad eye doesn't show. I wonder how people feel about that? If Nefertiti appeals to you would you rather do her as she is, bad eye and all, or do a version where that eye didn't show or had been fixed?

Yay!! I have a postcard of it that I've had for years and it's starting to get a little banged up.

I know. I have an iron-on transfer of it that's about 14"x19" that my mother got sometime in the late 60's. But it's not cross-stitch, just outline stitch, running stitch and single stitch, using 6 strands... She bought all the thread for it but never got around to doing it.

Yup! That's the one! I'd forgotten about the bad eye, and now can't think how bad it looks.

Looked her up on the net [http://www.smb.spk-berlin.de/d/sammlung/images/ampb1.jpg] to have another look at that eye... Not only did I forget about the eye, but her ears are chewed, too... but with computer wizardry she could be good as new, right?
