Dancers in Pink - Edgar Degas
Stitched by Lucile Favre, Toulouse, France on 18-count aida with 2 strands of floss

December 16, 2009 “I send you for the gallery my picture of "Danseuses en rose" Edgar Degas. I stitched it on aida 18 count with two strands. I am very proud of it !!”

Stitched by Stacie Martin, Fort Wayne, Indiana on 16-count aida

“I had so much fun stitching Degas’ “Dancers in Pink”. This project took me around 2 years to complete (on and off), and is the most extensive pattern that I have ever done. The photo doesn’t do it justice, this picture really “pops” in person. I wish you could feel how heavy this picture was when I was done. It was like a thick tapestry. Absolutely fabulous. I have just started “The Mirror” by Sir Frank Dicksee which I won from the pattern suggestions. Don’t have much of it completed, but as always am very impressed with the pattern.”
