“I started on this pattern during Christmas because of its handy size for travelling. The wings and her dress are now done, and her hair will follow shortly.”
“Now her hair is in place, and she is looking good ;D”
“I have now completed this sweet little angel, and she is just lovely. There were moments during the process when I found myself double checking the colour number on my floss thinking I’ve got it wrong, because the colour blends seemed very dark in contrast with the fabric. But as more colours were added the effect of the blending really became obvious, the technique is really is quite magical!”
“Here is a photo of my first SQ project after having a frame fitted. The couple who runs the shop where I had it done was totally delighted, and said it was the best cross stitch project they had ever seen. It ended up with a double frame and three different mats. There is an auburn mat closest to the image, then a narrow mahogany frame with golden "dots", then a beige mat, a grey linen mat, and the finally the outer frame with carved ornaments. This adds a wonderful depth to the picture. It is almost like the little angel is peeping through a window to look at us rather than the other way around. I am currently working on "Miranda", and more photos will follow. Thank you for supplying us with such wonderful projects to work on, it’s really hard to choose, you just want to do them all!”
