Hello stitching friends,

We've made a couple of changes to our ordering process. These affect PayPal payments and orders with a paper order form.

If you opt to use PayPal to pay for your order, we now send you to PayPal to pay immediately. You don't have to wait for an emailed request for payment. After you confirm your order, you'll now be taken to another page which gives your order total and shipping address, and asks you to choose (again) between a credit card payment and PayPal. (It is redundant -- we hope to streamline it later on.) To pay with PayPal, you must click the PayPal radio button and then a "continue" button. You'll then be taken to PayPal to complete your payment. You can pay with a credit card without logging in to PayPal (you don't have to be a PayPal member at all), or log in to use your account balance or other options.

We've also changed the way the printable order form works. We were unhappy with the table of shipping rates (which had to be updated twice a year when the Postal Service changes its rates) and, because the rates were based on the dollar total of the order, rather than weight, they were often too high. We have a new, improved printable order form for you! Now, you use the shopping cart to assemble your order. There is a Printable order form button on the shopping cart page. Click that, enter the shipping destination so that we can calculate your exact shipping charges, and an order form you can print and mail or fax displays. This way, we can also make sure you get the sale price when we're having a sale!

Just to clarify, though, you don't have to mail your order if you want to pay with a check or money order. You can use the online checkout process -- those are available payment options there.

One of our new patterns this month, The Young Botanist by Paul Peel (see below) was suggested by Barbara Przeklasa, of Hamiton, Ontario. We're sending her a copy of the pattern to thank her for her suggestion.

We've just added some really beautiful photos of finished pieces to the gallery. Stop by when you have a minute -- it's worth it! And if you've stitched one of our pieces, or have one in progress, we encourage you to share your pictures.

New patterns! Clink any picture for a closer look.
