Hello stitching friends,
Page Layout on Scale View Pictures
In case a monthly
newsletter doesn't satisfy your craving to know what we're up to, we are now using Twitter
to notify you of updates to the web site
(new patterns, new features, etc.). You can follow us on Twitter, or check Ramblings
(our blog) which has the last few "tweets" on the left side-bar. Of course, the newsletter will still be sent monthly — this is just something for people who want interim updates.
We've had many requests for color pictures of the patterns showing where the page boundaries
are. Well — now you can check these layouts online and print them if you wish! When you're looking at a pattern page, click on the picture to go to the "Fixed Scale View"
page. By default, just the picture is shown, but you can add the 10x10 grid lines and page breaks for regular print or large print. Each page is numbered corresponding to the page number in the chart booklet. And you can change the colors
of the lines and numbers if they don't show up well against the picture you're looking at. You can also get a printer-friendly version
which skips the extra graphics and text.
At right is an example (reduced in size). Here's a link to the full size image. Select a print size from the drop-down to begin exploring. There is also a longer explanation there of how this all works.
Online Needlework Show October 7-12
Thank you to Nadia Maseda
, of Beltsville, Maryland, for suggesting Three Spirits Mad with Joy - Warwick Goble
, shown below. We've sent her a copy of the pattern for being the first to suggest it.
Just a reminder, the fall online Needlework Show
will be held October 7-12. We'll be there — will you? Retailers, contact us for a code
that will allow you to register at no charge. This is a wholesale show (buying through the show is only open to retailers) but everyone can view the show, and it's a great way to see what's new in the needlework world. Please encourage your local needlework shop to participate!
New patterns! Clink any picture for a closer look.
