Canoe Manned by Voyageurs Passing a Waterfall - Frances Anne Hopkins
Counted Cross Stitch Pattern
A crew of eight voyageurs padding a large Hudson's Bay Company birchbark canoe past a waterfall splashing over a large rock outcrop. They have a lady and gentleman as passengers (perhaps the artist and her husband). One of the crew is picking waterlily flowers for the lady, but most are paddling. Their images are dimly reflected in the quiet water. (Canadian, 1869)
