The Siesta (after Millet) - Vincent Van Gogh

Counted Cross Stitch Pattern

A peasant couple in faded blue clothes takes a noonday nap in the shade of a haystack. They have put in a hard morning scything and stacking hay. Their pair of oxen have been unhitched from the hay wagon and are also resting and grazing in the shade of another haystack. Van Gogh painted this from a woodcut by Jean-Francois Millet.
