The Promise - Morgan Weistling

Counted Cross Stitch Pattern

Jesus was approached a man who told Jesus that his daughter was dying and pleaded with Him to put His hands on her that she might be healed. But before they reached his house, they received word that the girl had died. Jesus told her father not to be afraid, but to believe. When they reached the house, Jesus told the assembled mourners that the girl was not dead, but asleep. They laughed but Jesus took the girl's hand and told her to get up, and she did. This work shows the moment when the little girl has been given her life back, the complete trust, gratitude, and closeness to Jesus. The title comes from Jesus' promise: "He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."
