The Tree of Life - Gustav Klimt

Counted Cross Stitch Pattern

A panel from the Stoclet Frieze showing Klimt's interpretation of the Tree of Life, with curling branches, eyes on stalks, and triangular fruit. A black bird perches on one branch. On the left, a dancing woman representing Expectation is looking right. Her gown is decorated with triangles indicating her tension. On the right is an embracing couple representing Fulfillment, with robes decorated with ovals, which give them a mellower look. All along the bottom are small flowers in a variety of colors and shapes. We also offer patterns of Fulfillment, Expectation, and just the tree. (Art Nouveau, 1905-9)
