Cross Stitch Patterns from Fine Art by Scarlet Quince

Scarlet Quince News
February 2020

Hello stitching friends,

Most of our Rockwell patterns were suggested such a long time ago that people's email addresses have changed, and we're having trouble reaching people for their pattern awards. But we did catch up with Lindsey L. from Alabama who suggested Santa at the Map - Norman Rockwell (introduced in December's newsletter. Thank you, Lindsey!

We have tons more new pictures in the gallery! I'm so pleased that so many people are making pictures of their work available!

How Scarlet Quince Patterns are Created

We had a question recently about what the process is to create a cross stitch pattern, and quite a few people said they would also like to know. If you missed it, an explanation is here in our Facebook group. (You don't have to be on Facebook to read it. But if you have questions you'd like to ask about it, please try to post them there so everyone can benefit.)

SQ Stitch Update Coming

FYI, there will be a minor update to SQ Stitch in the next couple of days. Most people won't notice any changes, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to mention it, in the unlikely (cross fingers, knock wood!) event that something gets broken. It is a change to the database which will make a couple of things that were very slow in certain environments (*cough* iOS pattern restores *cough*) much, much faster. There is a small hit to calculating the percent complete the first time you go to the stats tab.

Keep stitching,
Meredith
