How to Buy

How our shopping cart works and what happens when you check out.


When you see an item you want to purchase, click the "add to cart" link or the shopping cart icon. The item is added to your cart and you are shown a summary of the cart contents with the current total. To continue browsing patterns, click the "Go back" button. Click "Check out now" to complete your purchases.

If you want more than one of a pattern, just change the quantity box and click the "Recalculate" button. To remove a pattern from the cart, change the quantity to 0 and click "Recalculate".


We ship via the US Postal Service. You can select the class of postage you want to use from the rates that apply to your order (these depend on weight and destination). The price and estimated shipping time is shown for each rate. We must add 6.25% sales tax to orders shipped to Texas (8.25% if you are in Austin).

You can find out how much the shipping and handling charges will be for the items in your cart by filling in your location (country) and zip code if you are in the US. Sales tax will also be calculated for orders going to Texas if you check the "Texas?" box. Click the "Recalculate" button after you have entered your location information.


The order form is organized into 3 or 4 pages. First we ask for your mailing address and your email address (so we can send you a confirmation message and instructions on paying). Next, you select your payment method. The key points about each payment option are given right there on the order form.

Finally, we'll show you a confirmation screen with the details of your order and the charges, your shipping data, payment options, and any special instructions you gave. You can confirm, cancel the order, or go back and change anything you want to.

If you are paying by Visa/Mastercard, you'll have two more pages from our secure store where you will enter your credit card number and billing address.

We’ll send you an email summarizing the order and giving instructions on paying, which depend on the payment method you choose.

We accept Visa and Mastercard via our secure store from almost every country in the world. This is the quickest and easiest way to pay, with no waiting for an invoice and nothing to join.


We will give you our mailing address in our confirming email. We will hold your patterns until your check clears, about 5 days.


We will give you our mailing address in our confirming email. We will ship your patterns as soon as we receive your money order. Money orders must be in US dollars. International buyers can usually get a money order made out in US dollars at their banks, or send money electronically from a Western Union or MoneyGram location.


PayPal allows you to pay electronically (US banks only) or by credit card. Making a payment is free. If you tell us you want to use PayPal, you’ll receive our confirming email and a separate email from PayPal requesting payment. If you haven’t used PayPal before, they’ll include instructions on exactly what you need to do to pay and provide a link to a page where you can sign up to make your payment. (If you are already registered with PayPal, make sure you give us the same email address that PayPal has for you).

You can choose to transfer money from your PayPal account, if you have money deposited there, use an e-check on a US bank account, or pay with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express). PayPal transactions are secure, which means that you can safely give your credit card or bank account number. Please note that there is a waiting period for e-checks just as there is for paper checks.

We will ship your patterns as soon as we receive word from PayPal that you have paid. We do accept international PayPal payments. Visit PayPal for more information including a list of the countries they support.


Some people prefer not to shop online. If you enjoy browsing through our patterns but don’t want to use the shopping cart and online checkout process, you can print our order form and mail or fax it to us. All the information you need is on the order form.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (it’s free) in order to view and print the order form. If you don’t have it, click Download Acrobat Reader to download it.

As we are a small business, the phone is not answered 24 hours a day. The best time to call is late morning to early evening, Central time. If you reach our voice mail, please leave a message — we will call you back.
