Stitched by Barbara Miller, northwest Indiana on 32-count linen, over 2

March 10, 2011 “Well, after 35 months of nightly cross-stitching, I finished it. I stitched Nighthawks on 32 count linen. I was fortunate enough to have the honor of bringing it to the Art Institute in Chicago where the Chicago Tribune did an article on my accomplishment! I used a Q-snap and then had that on my stand. Since there was so much excess fabric, I used hair clips to roll it up so it wouldn't get dirty. It really was an amazing pattern to do and overwhelming to hold it up to the original.”

Stitched by Pamela Jordan, Arlington, Texas on 22-count pre-gridded fabric from Balkan Imports, over 1 with 1 strand of floss

“Here's my update on Nighthawks.....I've finished page 3 *yippee!!!* So far, 10,545 stitches complete, for a total of 4,47% completion.”
