A very simple and appealing view of Mount Fuji on a crisp clear day. The blue sky is full of small puffy white clouds. The lower slopes of the mountain, seen from a great distance, are covered with pines, while remnants of the winter's snow remain in the cracks near the summit. This woodblock print, also known as "Red Fuji", is part of Hokusai's series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji". (Ukiyo-e, 1831)
