Old Welsh Bridge, Shrewsbury - J. M. W. Turner

Counted Cross Stitch Pattern

One of the nine bridges crossing the River Severn at Shrewsbury, this one leading to Wales. It was built around 1262 and would be demolished the year after this painting was made. Its replacement, under construction, can be seen through one of the arches. (1794)
