Fishbowl Fantasy - Edward Goodes
Stitched by Jo Stevens, Palmerston, North New Zealand on 16-count ivory aida

July 13, 2014 “I have only being doing cross-stitch for a couple of years, so this project is far beyond what I ever imagined I could do. I'm sure I will be very proud once complete.”

Stitched by Paula Lewis, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 22-count aida

November 9, 2013 “After a little over 2 years of stitching I finally finished this project about a year ago and wanted to share the finished work with you. It came out beautifully. A lot of work and effort but well worth it. Since the entire fabric was stitched I lightly penciled 10x10 squares to easily keep track of stitches. Due to the large number of symbols -- both combined and single colors -- I found the best way to keep things easy was to tape the symbol and corresponding floss numbers(s) that I copied and cutout of the original pattern on individual bags. When I finished stitching a symbol I placed the remaining floss -- leaving it on the needle -- in the bag then easily came back to it later to stitch the same symbol reducing the time to rethread. I also kept additional floss for those colors in the bag so as not to have to weed through numerous bags or bobbins to find the correct floss.”

Stitched by Natasha Volkova, Novomoskovsk, Tula region, Russia on 14-count aida

June 7, 2010 “Many thanks for this design.”

Stitched by Jean Naciuk, Calgary, Canada on 18-count aida

December 16, 2009 “I would like to thank you for your wonderful pattern. Yes, I finally finished it and all the comments that I got were all starting with Wow! I included a jpg of the finished product before I framed it to show the hardworking staff that yes, people really do use the patterns. As a note, I will be framing and submitting this picture to the Calgary Stampede next year so lots of people can see what wonderful patterns are available for cross stitch.”

Stitched by Nona Mitchell, Madison, Wisconsin on 16-count aida

“This Fishbowl Fantasy took 17 months 2 weeks to complete. It was my second Scarlet Quince project and I enjoy cross stitching - addicted is probably a good word for me. Did enjoy it with all the little things it contained, from people & a house inside the fishbowl to a feather, cross, etc. It was different.”
